There is no good reason why an Irish citizen ought not to apply for British citizenship . As simonflynn04 says, it is a personal thing. We also need to remember that there is never any guarantee that arrangements that are in place now will remain so in perpetuity . Of course, the rights of Irish ci...

There is the probability that funds are verified and these are randomly checked. Since you wouldn't know whether or not yours would be verified, I'll simply forget about the funds in that account until the outcome of the submitted application is known. Best wishes, Bola!

Lucapooka is absolutely right. The reality, however, is that if you don't have your proof of work to hand, some employers, in my experience, can't be bothered checking your eligibility when there are loads of other job applicants there and then who are able to produce their right to work documents. ...

Re: Adult born in UK - Applying for British Citizenship

I will have to apply through form T. The problem with this is that I have to provide evidence that I've lived here for the first 10 years of my life . Ask your parents, particularly your mum to confirm which GP(s) you were registered with from 1-10 years. These should be able to confirm that you re...

Re: Withdrawal of Passport Application

I applied three weeks back and I found out that I made a mistake on my passport application. Basically, I put the application date and my counter signatory put the date prior to the ceremony date and most probably they will invalidate my application. Even though I checked it with Check & Send servi...

AVERAGE TIME BTW PASSPORT INTERVIEW & PASSPORT DELIVERY

Hi guys, just want to sample people's opinion here. Officially, IPS says expect, upon successful interview, to receive your passport between 10 and 12 days. I, however, wish those who've passed through this stage could share with others the number of days (roughly or precisely) between your passport...

If you carefully read the application form, for naturalisation there is no requirement for the referee to be engaged professionally with the applicant. He needs to have professional standing.
