Go to India using indian Passport, and return with UK passport. You may have to pay a penalty of around £150 when you surrender Indian passport

Have you not fulfilled these requirements when applied initially, Can't you use the same documents ? Or maybe HO should not ask for the documents as they already been provided with the initial application.
I'm just curious as i'll be applying flr m extension for my wife soon.
