Hi, sladkiy, I am now in the same situation as you were, just wonder how did you manage to explain to the HO about the discreation, did you just write them a letter? I find it quite difficult to put it in writting, how did you do it? I think there is a boxed section where you can explain why you do...

As long as you have valid leave to remain on the date you make your application, you should be fine. Just keep proof of posting, photocopy of envelope etc. to be on the safe side in case there are queries. Better still if you can get an appointment at a PEO on the 15th, that way you're sorted on the...

Re: Can ILR be rovoked because of forged scam esol certific

Hello, A friend of mine was silly and gained his esol citizenship certificate fradulantely and paid for it. He lied to his wife and told her he had gained it legally and did the course. He left his wife once his ilr was granted as he only married he to gain access into the country. He confided in f...

This shouldn't be an issue. A lot of passports do not have exit stamps. I know mine didn't when I applied. You could apply for your SAR at the UKBA. That should suffice in my opinion. If you really want to feel safe, then perhaps, see if you have an email travel confirmation? The other alternative i...

It's your decision at the end of the day. If you feel you need assistance to send your application, by all means, go ahead. I am not sure why you say the Home Office is "clamping down" - there has been no evidence to this effect so far. Further, have you considered this could also be just a case of ...

South Africans are visa nationals - your friend will require a tourist visa prior to travelling. I believe she may be able to obtain one at the British High Commission in the Netherlands. I am not sure of the actual timescales involved. From the literature, it would appear anything from 5 to 15 work...

Working holiday would only be valid when applying under the long residence (10 year legal) rule. In your case, October 2011 comes much sooner.

Probably best to open a new thread to get more responses but if you have had HSMP from October 04, haven't you already qualified for ILR on October 08 with the HSMP JR? I am puzzled why you didn't apply then? I hope someone else can clarify your 3 month pay slips issue. On another note, well done on...

Assuming your official end date is 05/11/04, your existing work permit would have been valid for at least to 28 days after that, if your employers notified the Home Office at all. This probably explains why you had no issue to get back into the country when you returned on 23/11/04. As long as the s...

Thank you so much! I was hoping that they'd return her passport before making the decision but obviously not. :? Hi, Regarding no. 1, I think if you were convicted in court, you have to wait for it to be spent before you apply. Please see this link . It says if you have an unspent conviction, your application is unlikely to be successful. They have nevertheless been known to apply discretion in some cases like...

Under the old work permit rules, my understanding was you had 28 days to find a new job or leave the UK once your company notified UKBA of the termination of your contract. However, under the new Tier 2 arrangements, it would appear this has been lengthened to 60 days, unless you have fewer than 6 m...

I thought the HSMP JR people were only until April 2006? In any case, you would be eligible to apply from October 2011 (28 days before you complete your 5 years). That said, from my understanding, you would fall under the remit of the new rules if they indeed start to be applicable from July 2011, s...

Taylondon, very sorry to hear about the refusal. It's rather cruel they made you wait so long when other refusals were disclosed much earlier. Anyhow, you can still have another go at it, which is one positive to draw from all this. I must say I have been very surprised at the gender of all the folk...
