Re: Tier 2 dependant visa

Update:
I met a solicitor today, another option is to apply for FLR(M) and then vary it to PBS dependent using the latest bank statement which will satisfy the 90 maintenance day rule. Will this work?

Many thanks

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa

I am sorry, I know I am treading the fine line of technicalities but if the application is rejected, AR guidance states: (e) Where the original decision maker failed to apply the Secretary of State’s relevant published policy and guidance in relation to the application. Guidance states: 68. One of t...

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa

The piece you quote is not relevant as you are no longer on Tier 2 General. You have to show £630 for 90 days to extend your spouse's visa. If you do not have it, the application will very likely be refused. Alternatively, she will have to switch to FLR(M) - English A1 and financial requirement man...

Re: Tier 2 dependant visa

Thanks cyclina 1 I am however confused by the below paragraph from the tier 2 dependant guidance: 82. If you apply separately from the main applicant you will need to have the necessary funds to meet the maintenance requirement or have a written undertaking from an A-rated Sponsor, unless the main a...

Tier 2 dependant visa

Hi My wife last extended her visa as a PBS dependant under my Tier 2 General visa in 2015. This is coming up for renewal at the end of June 2018. Unfortunately I took my eye of the ball and missed the maintenance requirement. I am unable to evidence £630 for 90 days in her/my bank account, however I...

Re: How long MP take to respond

I recently went down the MP route for a different visa which was successful, the relevant bits are: - MPs are not legally obligated to take your case forward, therefore it is important to be polite and patient - They unfortunately cannot speed up decision making, if within the application timescales...

Re: Secondment/ temporary role change

Thanks again for the quick reply geriatrix The unclear bit is how UKVI will classify. I am a masters graduate on a role that does not let us say exactly match any particular job description and hence has been put under the catch all SOC code 3539. The new job can equally fit SOC code 3539, the descr...

Re: Secondment/ temporary role change

Thanks geriatrix Unfortunately UKVI want to make a logical progression as difficult as they can. Looking at the SOC code description, they are not very specific, what will be the test applied by UKVI to determine if a job is SOC 3539 or 2423. There can clearly be overlaps in the job description espe...

Secondment/ temporary role change

Hi All I am currently working on a tier 2 visa within the SOC code 3539 (NQF 4 but applied through extension application). I have recently been offered a temporary/secondment opportunity within the company which could be between 6-12 months and I believe will relate to the SOC code 2423 (NQF 6). I h...

Re: Dependent/partner visa application from India– my experi

Hi tier2 applicant I am trying to do something very similar for my spouse and I am not getting any clear guidance as to the amount of funds I need to show as maintenance. More specifically, some websites say I need to show £600 if I have lived in the UK for more than 12 months and some say I need to...
