Thanks guys for your inputs. I have however discovered from the Home office website that I am able to apply in december 2010. It says that in cases where there was delay in processing an ILR application due to no fault of the applicant, such applicant can apply for naturalisation as a british citize...

Help

I wonder if someone can help. I got my ILR in march 2010 but applied back in september 2009. Do I have to wait until march 2011 to apply for British citizenship or does my time start counting from September 2009?

I am happy to share my good news with you guys as well. I received my ILR today. Date granted 12th March 2010.

To Dolf and Hangermajor, Please tell me, did you contact the HO between tha date your ILR was stamped and the date received? If you did, what was their response?

@ Amar5 and Foxy Would you guys stop this bickering..... We are all in the same boat right now and this forum is meant to offer some sort of support and solution, not a playground for unhelpful debate. We are all fraustrated and tired of waiting but as Foxy said, we do not have that much of a choice...

ILR - 10 year category

I submitted my application 2nd September 2009 and still waiting. Its exactly six months today and the telephone officer at the home office told me today that the time scale indicated on the website is merely guidelines and not exactly followed.
