To Dolf and Hangermajor, Please tell me, did you contact the HO between tha date your ILR was stamped and the date received? If you did, what was their response? Hi thms & Liverpool, Many apologies for the late reply. Well I applied on 24 August 2009 under 10yr legal. Did not supply any additional ...

Got my ILR

Congratulations to all those who have received their ILRs. I got good news today as I received my passport with ILR stamped on 5th March 2010. It is issued by Liverpool UKBA office. I got my Life in the UK Test certificate and a letter. Wish you all who are waiting, good luck. Like Apu in Simpsons (...

My advice would be not to think about it. I know it will be very difficult to do. Because, I have already failed trying to achieve that. There are many people who have been waiting for more than 7 months. And of course you have waited longer than that. UKBA has caused unnecessary anxiety, stress and...

I don't think that people applying under the 14 year rule are bad people but it does annoy me that 10 year applications get lumped together with 14 year applications. Especially when in other immigration forums I read of someone applying under the 14 year rule in Decemeber 2009 and then getting the...

I hope soon our wait will be over. It seems there may be some light at the end of UKBA tunnel.

Hi Croydon, It will not affect Naturalisation/British Citizenship process. But if you think it adds up another six or seven months to our application, without our fault or negligence. I think UKBA should give a backdated letter to rectify this issue (their incompetence). Seven months is a long time ...

Dear All, I have collected my passport with ILR approved today from Royal Mail. I missed it yesterday and they left the card for collection. The ILR was issued on 11 March 2010 in Liverpool. I actually sent the pre-paid specially delivery together with my application. However, all my documents are ...

Got a letter from UKBA Liverpool saying “A decision has been taken on your application and you will shortly receive notification of that decision, along with any valuable documents that were submitted such as marriage certificates/birth certificates etcâ€

Great. Now I hear about someone getting their 10 year ILR in 2 weeks on the other well known forum. UKBA specifically said that it is dealing with ILR applications on date received order and ours are held on a queue. If someone got ILR in 2 weeks that is amazing? Don’t you think that the person w...

boonbin and coolboyuk I am definitely in. I am not sure which action that we should take. However, I am in which ever collective action decided by the majority. I have also written couple of letters to UKBA but they have not replied. As we can see from many posts and from the UKBA replies it looks l...

I wish I had gone in person when I applied on 24 August 2009. The reason I applied through post was my application was very straightforward and there is no gaps and all stamps are on the passports. I was also lead to believe that it will take around 4 weeks for UKBA to process this. A year before (i...
