Repatriation flights are such a big mess. A new slot opened this morning and all got booked in a matter of 1.5 hours.

This time I was lucky!

Not sure what would happen to others who are unable to book flights. Will they be treated as over stayers for reasons beyond their control?

I agree it would be ideal to inform HO about this change (getting a new passport) but, just trying to assess, if it is mandatory?

If not, then I can make my journey, come back and then send the updated passport.

We got our iLR approved on 16th april.Got our BRP cards on following monday.

you can use any Tier 1 category orTier 2 category.just show that your University is listed in the calculator ,and you score points for it.
Same for the english language.
They accept the Pbs printout.

The latest version is 04/15. because 1) there is no such mention in the guidance notes as Delta /Maestro cards are accepted.. 2)Guidance notes says please refer to the payment page 2 of the form In the form you are given options Visa/Electron ....

for Q3 :YES , you can definitely use Visa Debit card.We have done that for our Tier1 extension and now for our ILR.

The main point is did you and your wife scored 10 points in PBS for English language skills ,apart from the degree recognition (degree abroad is comparable here in UK) from the PBS Calculator? If the ans. is YES ,then get the printout from the PBS and get a Letter from Naaric for language assessment...
