Surrendering Indian passport after British Citizenship

Hi All,

We( myself and my wife) have received our first British passport and now we want to surrender our Indian Passport. For surrendering do we have to go together or if one can go with all necessary documents for both, do we need a authorization letter or something?

Thanks is advance.
