Re: Mitta

hi mitta as of april 30 WRS will be close means EEA national especially A8 national (ex.poland,Czech) will no longer need to register on WRS means if your partner is EEA you can straight apply to residence card You misunderstood me. Registration Certificate has nothing to do with WRS. WRS is Work R...

I'm not required to apply or reapply, but how do you see in practice I can stay without it? Wherever I went with my about-to-expire or expired Family permit visa (e.g. local surgery, school, potential employer), everybody asked for a proof of my status. If they see expired visa, they are not going ...

I contacted SOLVIT, but they told me not to contact them until the 6 months deadline has passed! And it's weird as the reply is from the SOLVIT in France the country that my husband is from but not in the UK. May I ask those ones who have contacted SOLVIT if they receive an answer from SOLVIT in wh...

AnnaS, thanks very much for your reply, its cleared up my confusion between FP and EEA2 visas. So my options now are either to apply for the EEA2 in September 2010 after we register the marraige in the UK and provide plenty of evidence that we meet and speak regulary. My other option is to re-enter...

Hello, I'm not a consultant so this advice is strictly personal experience: 1. As far as I'm aware a Family permit can only be applied for from outside the UK (i.e. your home country) "... can apply for the EEA Family Permit at any British mission overseas that offers a full service visa-issuing off...

I haven't heard anything since I received my passport back for a trip in March, though it's written 'please do not return your passport to the Home Office until it has been requested by a caseworker' in a letter I've received with my passport. It's been already June.... I can't really say about the...

In terms of complaints to HO. I sent four complaints in total (e-mail and post) once the 6 months were exceeded. I received only one reply and only after Solvit got involved. I'm not saying don't complain, do; you have every right to just be aware that they might ignore it. Getting outside help wil...

Re: EEA

Thanks alot. But what is AIRE? http://www.airecentre.org It gives advice on EU citizen's rights. They also advised me to use Solvit, which I think would be your best bet if they exceed the six months. Don't wait to launch your case as it takes them time to process too. If you need any info on that ...

Also, as an unmarried partner, will I have the right to work/study while my EEA2 application is pending? I'm planning on being a student if my funding comes through, but if not, I may need to get a job instead and defer my course for a year (when I qualify for home fees). Cheers! If you get the FP ...

Re: Good day

So good news this morning! After nearly 9 months of waiting and multiple complaints to the HO, Solvit and our MP, have finally gotten my RC. At last can work and travel again! Too bad I have to get a new passport now as this one expires in September. Guess I will have to live with two for a while a...

Hello all, Called the HO today, spoke to a lady who was fairly nice. Apparently our application has been with a caseworker since September 09, so almost immediately after receipt. Now they really have no excuse. She said she will take note of my call and advised me to write to the complaints departm...

@kafi: it seems to be completely random! I applied the day after Forza_RC, and my applicaiton is also collecting dust in a queue!! It might very well be random. Wonder if envelope thickness makes a difference though. Like they go for thinnest first cause there is less to go through and they still m...

Hello and all the best for the new week As far as reference numbers go it is a mystery. My COA had no number on it of any kind. Only when I called five months after application did they give me a reference number and said the application was 'under consideration. I have resigned myself to the no wor...

AnnaS: Read your Certificate of Application. The first paragraph holds the answer... In that case I must conclude that they don't give me right to work because all it says is "thank you for your application and we advise you not to make any urgent travel plans until the applications is decided". Th...
