Since you went to court, you need to declare it. However if thiat was your only conviction, it is probably going to be discounted.

I applied and declared my SP30 conviction and had aproval in 16 days.

Best of luck.

You do not need to mention Penalty Charge Notice, you report Fixed Penalty Notice (given by the Police)_ only if you had up to 2 issued in the last year preceeding your application.

I mentioned it in my application and the approval was dated exactly 14 days after I posted it. The guidelines states that minor traffic offences will be ignored and they seem to follow it.

Your economic status has no effect on your application for BC. You neeed to be paying tax however, What you can do is to register for tax and do a self assesemant at the end of each financial year so that you can know what amount of tax (if any) to pay.

I am aware that the e passport is issued in London. I find it ridiculous being told to travel to Nigeria for a replacement passport. Maybe you should visit the High Commission in person and ask to speak to a Senior person who should be able to help you. And it does not take months.

First the offence is one of those classified as minor offence and you are likely to get approval if you applied before it is spent. If you apply after it is spent, the Home Office is not in the business of reviewing Court sentences, all they would do is to apply the ruling to the approval criteria ...

If you had only one fixed penalty notice in 2010 (one year before your application), you should be ookay as you have no court conviction. You shoul;d make sure that u don't geyt another one - as 2 FP in the last year may cause problem. In fact u don't have to declare the FP.

A follow up question on the reference date for the 5 year presence. For an application through the NCS, which date is considered as the date of receipt of application. To apply on your merit, you need to have stayed five years in the UK including 1 year with ILR. However if your partner is willing they can support your application after a 3 year stay including one year ILR. In that case, you will apply as a spose of a BRITISH CITIZEN (IF THEY ARE BRITISH)

He could apply for a SAR from Home Office which would specify the immigration history including a copy of the landing card he filled upon his first entry, This would authenticate his first entry, Alternatively he could show official evidence - pay slips etc to confirm his presence in the UK.

A quicker way - although a little more expensive - will be for her to apply as the spouse of British citizen as soon as you are one.
