As i understand from rules you are good to apply but if some can say something similar have been ILR approved would be ideal confirmation. However these things depend on case by case. You should still collect good reason to why you were out for such long period and show that you are earning good and...

Re: IS IT True or just aspertions?

Hi members, I read in lot of post that in Croydon PEO money for ILR application is taken as first step however in other PEO like birmingham you would be charged after application is thoroughly checked for merit and then they ask you to pay which is further passed to CW for checking authenticty of d...

Re: IS IT True?? or just aspertions ... rumours?

Is this true that in Croydon PEO they take money first and then it passes to CW straightaway whereas in other PEO like Sheffield & Birmingham they will check your application & supporting docs thoroughly then take fees and then CW makes cross checks on information provided. Hence other PEO's will b...

Re: reg Absences

Hi I came to UK on HSMP and later extended on Tier 1 General. I complete my 5 years in April this year. In the first year (2008) I was out of country for 182 days and had totally 4 travels (22 days, 69 days, 84 days, 6 days) all of these were on business. Except the 84 days absence though was on bu...

Dependent ILR to apply later to mitigate risky application

Due to some doubts on my own ILR and money involved 2750 for two dependants... if I apply for ilr for alone now then for dependants later will that be a bad idea?

Also if ILR gets approved how much time do my dependants have to apply for ILR? Which for will need to used for that?

Re: ILR success at PEO Sheffield with single absence of 170

Hi, I had got my ILR today . I was under typical case of single absence of more than 90 day on business trip but less than 180 days . since the change in rule in December 2012 caseworker told in first look you should be fine under new rule. I had provided letter from employer justifying the absence...

Re: ILR Success - SHEFFIELD PEO

All, Thanks all for your responses to all my queries, though some of it sounded really silly :) My husband, me and my son have been approved ILR on 04/03/2013 at the Sheffield PEO. Appointment at 9am, arrived PEO at 08:45am as we realised that we didn't book the appointment confirmation at the elev...

Were your long absences paid for business work and if your employer can write this in letter then probably you have a chance. There is still ambiguity around rule change as SET(O) still asks specifically for more than 180 days of absence. I understand there are couple of aspects of absence which are...
