Having said that, As long as you supply what they require, You do Not claim any public benefits and both you and your partners residential address is the same then that's it. ALS...

obamaman We applied for and got our ILR last year. When we applied we planned in advance. We made sure that we had a joint bank account (We saved up the ILR fees in that account - made sense to have a healthy balance). That I think was the only joint document we had. The rest of the documents were i...

AzimScot, On this forum it's best to just get advice on procedural stuff. Trying to discuss anything else even if it seems deeply unfair, biased etc is likely to get a cold response on this forum. Me personally, I think the point you raised warrants a complaint even if you have to go through third p...

Re: about benifits plz help

I am seriously wondering what exactly Wanderer's intention is in his post. To actually help ahmed1702? Humiliate ahmed1702? or to satisfy something that only Wanderer himself knows? What on God's Earth is the meaning or purpose of his questions and how does his opinion of distance relationships help...

Patni, The biometric is passport related. It's a microchip that has your id details and passport details encoded - to prevent fraud passports. Assuming that you are applying for a visa the biometric thing is not related as long as your passport that you submit for your ILR application is legitimate....

Kiwigirl25, Nobody on here has a monopoly on injustice or immigration related hardships. We are all united in our collective objective - to settlement. The undertone of what you say is quite dark "... people with no ancestoral links what-so-ever waltz in?". I am not here to dwell on that though. I w...

Hi oldno7 You've made some good points. However: UKBA will not respond to queries after 14 weeks. If you contact them you will get a scripted response of "your application has not yet been processed". I defy you to find someone who has queried their application after 14 weeks and has received a dec...

Eventually my wife got her ILR 3 months later after the application was started. You have done the right thi...

My wife got her ILR not long ago. Whilst I don't have all the literature in front of me now, I do think that your partners employers are wrong. In the application form there is a slot specially for OISC member number but no slot for solicitors who are regulated by SAR. So I believe choosing a OISC lawyer has certain advantage over non-OISC lawyer?? Anyone agree?? I always worried things will get lost through the post so I would prefer to g...

Hi, If I was you I would make some strong enquiries with the Home Office. As far as I know, you CAN make enquiries about your application if it is 14 weeks or more since you put it through. This is what the Home Office says on their phones. I am no expert, I recently managed to get ILR for my wife a...

I'm not sure about the tax credit question. But in regards to the ESOL, There are many different kinds. The one you need to enrol on is an ESOL course with Home Office approved materials. Without this type of approved course it is worthless with ILR applications. When checking with colleges make sur...
