Thanks aspirant99..i will follow the Skype approach of taking the UK number. I agree with you that in UK and EU people are on leave because i am working in an tech support environment for EMEA region and customers are on leave already and others are planning as well.

You will get 40 points for the salary band you have entered. The points tally is different when you earn in UK and when you earn outside.

I went today at VFS Bangalore without appointment and submitted my application, there was no rush at all. I entered at 10:30 AM and came out at 11:40 AM.
