I came to the UK on a student Visa in January 2005. Visa was for 6 years till October 2011 (unusual i know) In December 2005 i left the school due to some personal reasons. I started working part time in June 2006 and in March 2007 i got a permanent full time Job in the NHS, (they never checked my s...
In my case i did not staple the form when i attended PEO, so when i presented the form at the lady who checks and validate it, she stapled them all, when we went to make payment they just teared off the payment page.
They do require photocopies according to set M form, some people dont take copies but its recommended because Case workers seem to like it when you have copies, makes their life easier, That is if you applying at PEO.
Congratulations, i also had a fairly wonderful experience when i did my set (M) application at croydon on 3 april, i personally believe Set (M) applications are not as hard as we some times think. Set (O)s seem to be a bit more hard.
When my BRP came i was not home, the courier guy did not ask for any documents or see anything, he just asked my wifes name and asked her to sign, although she had my passport and hers to show. Some times it can depend with the courier who turns up.
I think you are on the old rules because under the new rules your visa would have been given for 3 years initially. When you got your spouse visa did they not send you a letter telling you when you can apply for ILR?
Just would like to thank members of this forum for posting their experiences, this helped me prepare my application without using a representative. However I wished Set (M) had its own column as it was at times hard searching through because majority of posts here seem to be set (O). Anyway my appoi...
And remember that you can add an explanation in the Additional Information Page towards the back. But if you have all the weekly payslips, it will be fairly obvious that the pay fluctuates, so no problem if you average to monthly approximate. You should be done within 3 hours or so. Is your wife at...
Section 2A asks - If your partner was not British from birth, when did they obtain settlement in the UK? My wife got her ILR in 2002 but can not remember the date or month, would this be a problem? Fine to put 2002 and if asked explain - it is a long time ago and they should have these records anyw...
Be patient, the waiting gets a bit much at PEO but if you have everything and remain calm and papers are organised, you will be fine. I did find that the case worker asked me for some specific dated docs and if I didn't have it, explained why and suggested an alternative and they were happy with th...
6 cohabitation Docs from 3 sources, Electric bills, water bills and council tax bills, all in joint names. Does these cover every quarter for the full two years? Cohab docs don't have to be in joint names, can be addressed individually to each of you at the same address. My link below, ILR was succ...
Hie Guys. Tomorrow I have an appointment at Croydon Peo for my ILR after 2 year spouse visa. Below are the documents I have and I just thought I would ask for your opinions. Set (M) form 2 x Passports 1 x Biometric Card 3 photographs, two me, one spouse with names at the back Life in the Uk pass cer...
You also have evidence of living together for more than 2 years, if you meet the other requirments you could apply for the unmarried partner visa if you dont want to marry just yet, but i think that would be out of country application.
You are 24 and she is 49? Your application will be scrutinised, you need to be married to apply for a spouse visa and you will need a lot of evidence to prove to the Home Office that your marriage is genuine, you can apply for unmarried partner visa but you need to have been living together for 2 ye...
