My understanding of the benefits system is that as long as they are benefits to which the sponsor is entitled to in his/her own right this is acceptable in terms of her income, however, the spouse should not or would not be able to claim benefits nor is the sponsor able to claim additional benefits ...

Funny you mention the presentation of the application. I had originally thought to provide my application in a very swish ring binder, with dividers etc. But from what people have told me, this is relatively pointless as the VAC would remove all the documents, photocopy them and bung it all in a pla...

From my experience, you should receive word back within 90 days of your submission of the application. I would probably give the process 4 weeks before trying to ascertain where it is. My fiancee's application also received a tracking number where we could track her application online. That was the ...

Any chance you could explain your situation in clearer terms ie with correct spelling and punctuation?

I'm not trying to be a grammar Nazi or funny, but it helps in trying to understand what your are saying. I just read your post and was completely lost :S

Re: Spouse Visa

I have just recently got married from Pakistan. I just wanted to know what documents do i have to submit for my wife to get a visa. Congratulations on your marriage! In response to your question, from my own research on the UKBA website you need to show the following: - You are legally married to e...

When my fiancee applied for her fiancee visa, I had no savings but could prove a regular income in the form of payslips and that proved sufficient for the ECO in my case. That said, I am now a regular saver and am saving a healthy chunk of my income each month. My question, like the above is, why do...

Also in FLR(M) in 1.5 it asks for the surname or family name, would I put down her surname in her passport or my surname now that she is married to me?

After Fiancee Visa - FLR(M) Application Form

Now that I have my fiancee's entry clearance in the form of a Fiancee Visa, I'm looking at what comes next. I have printed out form FLR(M) and I wondered where it asks "Your full name as in your passport or travel document" she would have to put her Chinese name. However, for day to day English use,...

So would I be correct in assuming that this is NOT a Marriage visitor visa but in fact a fiancee visa? I am aware of the additional application fee for the FLR, but because of personal circumstances, this arrangement has worked out to be more convenient as I would not have to purchase an additional ...

FiancÂ

First post, so bear with me. I applied for my fiancee's visa to come to the UK, get married and settle in the UK. I completed the VAF4 form and paid the extortionate 6,475RMB (Chinese Yuan Approx £575) application fee and my fiancee submitted that to the Visa Application Centre in Wuhan, China. Thi...
