Re: ILR Appointment on 18 Mar 2014- SET (O) + dependent

Thanks vignezh, Good point - wasn't very obvious from UKBA website. Regarding the Annual paid leaves - do you think its important to provide evidence that my leaves were paid leaves, as long as my absence is less than 180 days in any calendar year. and a minor one - do I need to take any photographs...

Hi All,
Quick query - I am planning to apply for ILR for myself and ILR dependent for my 1 YO baby with same day appointment (considering postal application can take several months).

Just want to check if I need to take her with me for the appointment?

The news about how an applicant can use the Points Calculator is now published on UKBA's website . Agree that in principle, points awarded for English language should be enough and probably that is what UKBA intend to say - but still not crystal clear. The point about online PBS being enough is men...

forbc123/ InUkOnHsmp - Many thanks for your replies!! Other option I could think of is to get an ILR for myself and dependent for my daughter, later I can get the citizenship and she can stay as dependent. Then in few years time if we decide that we need a UK citizenship for her - I think it would b...

She would not have transitional protection and would be subject to a further 5 year wait. She can apply from 28 days before her 5 years eligible PBS period completes. On a side note; dependants may no longer have to leave the Country to switch thanks to the October 2013 changes. Many Thanks Amber!

In your situation I wouldn't have looked for tier 1, but would have been happy with the dependent Visa, the Dependent Visa in UK gives you complete freedom to take up any job and based on my experience (many friends of mine), UK companies only need you to be legally eligible to work - Its tier 1 or ...
