I don't know the details about applying for family permit -- but I think you can be still inside UK while your partner is applying -- but do prove that you are exercising treaty rights in the UK and your partner is joining you. I don't know if your partner is eligible to apply for this in France but...

Hi, I think it's not possible to apply RC outside UK but instead you need to apply for something called European citizen family permit which gives almost the same rights as RC but only valid for 6 months -- so you can enter UK and start to work as well. Once in the UK, you can start to apply EEA2 im...

So I finally got my RC this morning -- I didn't expect it coming by a special delivery. So my wait ends now within 6 months(two days before exactly 6 months). Feb 12 2010, COA filed as submission Beginning of March, COA received, showing issued on 25th Feb Trying to chase in April, July and finally ...

Hi, aussiegirl -- I haven't got my RC yet but with my previous working visa, I was in a similar scenario: my working visa was on my expired passport and not transferred to my new passport -- I carried both of my passports to travel every time and didn't meet any problem. When I applied a schegen vis...

Congratulations, Kafi, for the ends of the long waiting!

Also sorry for the news from bazi but hope everything works out -- maybe better to contact HO to ask the passport back and also tells them why it is urgent, seek advice from them directly -- maybe they would be nice to tell you what to do.

Babie_meg, congratulations!

May I ask how you contacted NWCSU? Coz I emailed them twice, once it was an automatic reply saying if the case was over 6 months, they would reply and give you a reference number; the other time which is on Tuesday, they didn't reply to me.

I contacted SOLVIT, but they told me not to contact them until the 6 months deadline has passed! And it's weird as the reply is from the SOLVIT in France the country that my husband is from but not in the UK. May I ask those ones who have contacted SOLVIT if they receive an answer from SOLVIT in whe...

Kenc, I applied in the same month 12th Feb and the case is also still under consideration. And I got the same feeling after calling HO on Tuesday. :(

I'm still in the desperate waiting ... it seems that they tried to make a decision on the last day of the 6 months!!!

I just called them and was told 2 weeks ago that I was going to hear from HO soon, they told me again that my case is still under consideration and it even not hasn't waited in a queue to be sent back to the applicants!

So disappointed!

This thread is also quite helpful for me -- thanks for jvgallegos and 86i. I'm in a similar situation and also submitted in Feb but 12th. Still haven't heard from them yet which drives me crazy. I will try to contact them and see if there is any news --- it is so difficult to even get through and ta...

May I ask how you get in touch with them? We tried both numbers but neither of them got us through and talked to an officier. My story is: Application submitted 11-02-2010 HO received on 12-02-2010 COA issued on 25-02-2010 but afterwards no news. It's good to hear so many stories for recieving their...

Hello all. i've also been following this thread for a while. I applied for EEA2 on Feb 12th and received COA sort of fast (issued in 2 weeks). But then there is no news at all until now. I tried to sent them a letter in April but the reply was very simple and just said they received my application. ...
