Re: Question about EEA residence card

Dear all,
I have now my passport card from Republic of Ireland but I need to travel outside EU in next few weeks (so passport card cannot be used).
Can I submit my passport card as EU sponsor ID card with the application instead of my original passport?

Re: Sheffield Visa Section - EEA FAMILY PERMIT

And that's officially a Yes! :-) Very relieved Coincidence or not, the permit was opened the day after my MP harassed the HO for the second time. Btw they managed to misspell my last name in my wife's permit, I hope that's nothing. And also the mention is "To accompany" rather than "To join" - hope...

Re: Sheffield Visa Section - EEA FAMILY PERMIT

I do not understand the border thing. I could have move my family(all Irish except non-EEA father) to Northern Ireland (no border checks) and then to England without going though any checks. However, it would have been illegal and caused issues when applying for residence card.

Re: Family permit refused- Appeal or Reapply

Thanks Yingette
I spoke to a lawyer today and he suggested re-applying as well. His reason was that appeals can take really long time so better to start with a new application addressing all the concerns raised in first rejection by first case worker.
