Re: OCI Card application in UK

I am going in person for OCI card application(for my daughter) to HCI London. It says they start giving out tokens at 8:30 and the number is limited to 175. What time should I be there so I will get the token, I mean do I have to go before 8:30am to get the token? By what time its usually finished?...

Thank you so much friends. I am in a good job, very decent salary so me leaving my deposit or paying extra to the landlord is really not an issue for me. Its just so unfair and unreasonable as landlord is demanding double the amount of my deposit and I have been trying my best to discuss and negoti...

Re: End of tenancy dispute - ILR Application

Hi Friends I am on a Tier 1 General visa and will apply for ILR in Apr 2015. Recenly, I moved from my rented flat and there is a dispute with my landlord regarding my deposit to be returned to me. If we could not reach an agreement by discussions, landlord or myself may approach court. If I enter i...

Re: Tier1 General-Maintenance Funds- where the balance went

Thanks a lot Tahir for your response, yes it is helpful. But any chance anyone have come across a similiar situation or heard of anything similiar. Thanks I do not think that you should worry about this. If your bank statements list end of day balance then you should be fine. Atleast Barclays bank ...

My view is that (employee)Pension contributions through salary sacrifice can be included in your gross salary. There have been cases on this forum where applicants ha...

Re: 10 years LR ILR and Parking Charge Notice

Dear all, I have to apply my ILR in December 2103 on 10 years long residence basis and I have clear immigration history. Today I received Parking Charge Notice from a Private parking company (Not council or Police ) to pay £75.00 within 14 days or £150.00 in full. Actually last week I went to pick ...

I will not worry about landlord letter, which is not required. If you have many address proofs then those are sufficient. Your landlord (most likely estate) is trying to take advantage of situation. All tenants know that majority of estate agents are liar and greedy and next to useless. Really sorry...

Thanks for you reply, appreciate it. The best you can do is to write UKBA explaining that you expiry date should have been based on initial expiry date as you applied within 28 days. You can use this logic and attach printout of the relevant page from UKBA website. There is no harm in trying as it ...

Hi, I just now came to know that there was a cheque of INR 8000 which I had issued in India way back in 2007 and for some reason it bounced. After that I moved to the UK and was totally unaware of this until today (after 6-7 years). Today my parents received a call from the company to whom the cheq...
