Will switching to a Settled status card wipe off your eligibility for BC obtained with the extra year after acquiring PR
Interesting. I am not from the EU and my PR is backdated to March 2016 but I didn't feel as compelled to naturalise when they announced the settlement scheme.

Re: change brc issued under eea to eu settlement

Also, this post for comparison with pros and cons will give you a good idea. That's a very useful post, thanks. So if your current passport allows visa free travel to EU countries, it shouldn't be an issue to switch? (not that I will) Are there healthcare benefits (or other types of benefits) assoc...

Re: Baby travelling on American passport?

Do you have a permanent residence card? If you do, it should be very easy to obtain a UK passport for the baby. I think it took a week to get ours after applying in person on the baby’s behalf at the passport office. Because you’re in Cornwall, it may be a hassle if there isn’t a passport office nea...

Re: Permanent residence card and new passport

Glad I checked this thread again. It’s really annoying to have to carry all these documents with you when you travel.

I’ll likely apply for British citizenship to avoid this and the hassle if I lost the card.

Permanent residence card and new passport

Hello. This question has been asked a lot but I've seen different answers. I am a permanent resident with a biometric residence permit (BRP) and settled status. I need to apply for a new passport because I'm running low on blank pages. I think the answer is "No" to all of the below but I want to con...

Re: Travelling with Settled Status

Have an non-EU members with a biometric permanent residence card and settled status travelled without the card?

I'm curious if you could prove your status using the settled status system at immigration at the airport.

Re: Settled Status for EU citizens in the UK

If you can borrow an Android device from someone you can download the app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.gov.HomeOffice.ho1) and start the application from there. No data is stored on the device and the application continues online after the relevant data is collected using the app.

Re: EEA Route after brexit

The Settled Status decision letter and the Immigration Rules Appendix EU both use the phrase indefinite leave to remain: EU1. This Appendix sets out the basis on which an EU citizen and their family members, and the family members of a qualifying British citizen, will, if they apply under it, be gra...

My wife and I applied. We both already have permanent residence status but we are awaiting the resuls of our applications. I thought the app was very easy to use but I work in the tech industry so I may not be the best example. It crashed once when when trying to scan my face. If you have permanent ...

Re: Passport for newborn with parents having permanent residence status

I called the Passport Office and they said I still needed to supply evidence such as P60s and a letter from an employer showing that my wife exercised treaty rights for 5 years even though my wife has a Document Certifying Permanent Residence. Is this definitely the case? They said I could apply usi...

Passport for newborn with parents having permanent residence status

Hello. We’d like our newborn to visit his mother’s family in Europe as soon as possible. I picked up a paper passport application and it seems like we need to fill it out and include his mother’s passport and document confirming permanent residence as evidence of his claim to British nationality. Is...

What format is a non EU permanent residence permit?

Hello. My passport has just a few empty pages left and I will be applying for permanent residence soon. My current passport has an EEA2 residence permit vignette. Would I receive another vignette in my passport or is a card issued? I found a thread that suggests it's card but it's from a couple of y...

Confirmation of permanent residence card with maiden name

Hello. My wife received a confirmation of permanent residence card and wants to apply for citizenship. We married after she obtained the PR card and she has taken my surname. The permit, however, has her maiden name. Can she still apply for citizenship? Thanks.
