My answer is the same as Jambo advised. For the date of ILR put the date of your sticker and you can explain it in the cover letter.

New update Update: Applied on 20 April 11. Called HO today for the 1st time...said under consideration, it takes up to 6 months. Called HO today, a nice lady informed that a decision has been made yesterday. How long does it take to receive the ‘brown’ letter? I need the passports for travel.

I’m still waiting. I think my decision will take some time, as I applied for the whole family (2 adults + 2 children), hence there will be more checks. No phone call to HO until now.
