Has anyone worked in a Gas station/ Motel on Tier 1?

Getting a job immediately after landing is an issue and maintaining yourself is a necessity.

I was curious to see if anyone took the alternative route and worked in a gas station/motel to cover up for expenses?

Is it legally allowed?

I appreciate your help

Flow of Status message on VFS website

HI Guys

I applied for Visa this week and it has been showing " Application sent to British high commission'.

I am not aware of what will be the sequence of message after this? will it just say " take your passport"?

Appreciate your help
