Biometric residence permits-Tier general

Hi Guy

I am a self employed and living in UK under tier1 general visa and it will be expired January 20th,2013(valid 20/01/2010-20/01/2013).Let me know,do i need to take Biometric residence permit?

UKBA will take any action if i stay 40days on my home country

I planning to apply Tier1 for next month. My last 12months salary account earnings was around 6L and have been keeping 2L on same account(2L included on last 12months earnings) for Maintenance Funds.
