Are photocopies accepted instead of the original passports?

Re: child benefit on tier1

if you claim a benefit to which you are not entitled it is a breach of your conditions. HMRC are not the UKBA. In addition, they are known to make mistakes, and pay someone a benefit to which they are not entitled which can then cause problems when it comes to applications to the UKBA. It is very c...

Re: child benefit on tier1

You should not apply for a benefit that you are not entitled to it is a breach of your conditions if your visa says 'no recourse to public funds' and you do not fall into one of the categories highlighted by John (i.e. from a certain country). If you continue reading the rest of the page, you will ...

child benefit on tier1

In that case there is no entitlement to claim Child Benefit while you are still on a time-limited visa ..... unless by chance you or your spouse worked in Canada (where the terms of the Social Security agreement between the UK and Canada would give you the right to claim UK Child Benefit, as long a...

Re: salary band for Tier 1 extension

I showed 6 months of Indian salary and 6 months UK salary which met the objective of being in the correct band for initial Tier2 to Tier1 switch. Now, for extension I would not be showing an Indian salary. So, I believe my task now should be to get a high paying job as soon as possible.

Since I have applied for Tier 1 after April 2010, now during extension in 2012, I will have lesser points if I continue in my current salary band. Salaries above 50-55k are not so common, and employers anyhow do not pay so much if they see that my Tier 1 is valid only for 2 yrs. Do we foresee that t...
