Hi Jagan, - From your document list, you pretty much seem up to date with details. Once your wife switches to 'dependent category', her clock resets for ILR time eligibility. - I don't have kids so can't comment or point out for you. - For extension, if you keep submit photocopy with your applicatio...

My spouse switched from T2(ICT) to T1(D) by going back to India.

We didn't submit any tenancy agreement. We submitted council-tax bills, not a requirement, still for two reasons - 1. to keep the case-worker happy 2. it is scrap after the month anyway.

So was the case of a friend's spouse.

Also what would happen if both get approved. Have the cake and eat it too. Not possible. How UKBA will handle the 'The racing condition' you are testing them for, I don't know. So, 'sending passport for vignette', '5-days gap in filling sponsorship' are irrelevant. What I know is - One can not have...

For 'friend (4th person)', who is coming for 10-12 days trip, she is showing all her finances etc. Is it a MUST for her t...

Great. Thanks Z18runway. So, we do have first hand success story.

So sponsor's original is advisable and good to have (surely based on the application's merit) but this alone can not be a rejection reason.

Scanned copy of Sponsorship letter and bank statement OK?

Do you have first-hand experience (Yourself or your visitor) where you/friend provided ONLY scanned copy of sponsorship letter and got the visitor visa? NOTE: *Original docs are must for visitor himself*. Talking only about sponsor side of docs. For general visitor visa, there are many conflicting p...

to summarize above two responses,
1. One cannot move from T1(G) category to 'dependent' category within UK. You will need to apply from home country.
2. As #1, she will need be eligible only after 5 years for residency/ILR.

I hold a passport with 2013 expiry and a BRP with 2015 expiry.
Edit: and I just crossed Heathrow 5-days back.

Old or New passport are irrelevant for visa leaves of any country.
A visa vignette in old passport is valid across the world. No vignette transfer is not needed.

Cheers..

You should focus on fun side.. not the visa mate. So, abt appointment - 1) You can fill application right away. No problem. Fill it keeping in 'post marriage' details. 2) Your should be perfectly fine. 3) With BRP, give copy of initial visa too. 4) Residency is not a condition for dependent visa 5) ...
