Re: Child Born in UK Overstayer

Amber, To extend the question further, assume one gets T1-dependent visa for UK-born child, however doesn't extend (to save money) so that parent apply directly for child settlement after parent ILR. Thus, technically "overstayer for direct settlement". However , if situation arise and chi...

Confirmed. New tax-free childcare is not a public fund.

Just received email from a reputed childcare voucher provider of our company.

Reading legal consultation is not my forte. From document, it talks about 'working in UK' but not UK national per se. Tax-Free Childcare (TFC) - Public fund?

Friends, I being on tier-1 and spouse as dependent, does this TFC scheme falls in public fund? Or, it does not because it is connected to 'when you earn, then gov adds it as tax relief'. Really appreciate any reference material to point to either direction or how to confirm it. The new TFC scheme wi...

Re: IMMIGRATION HEALTH SURCHARGE

test case sounds so better than a HOME-OFFICE Guinea Pig as they are making people now

For any 3-year extn main/dependent, it adds £600 per applicant.
After NI and so much tax AND taking company private medial cover, this feels like just day light robbery.

I am extending because I don't have choice. But for you.. well... If you are that worried, happy to afford money rather than worrying about that single driving mistake, switch to a tier-2 general if mess up... health impact due to unnecessary stress.. go ahead.. get it extended.. If you think.. you ...

Re: Sister-in-law funds needed

Few suggestions for you - 1. If sponsor (you/wife) is permanent salaried employee and sponsoring, better chance of approval. 2. Change return date later: With £500-£600 in account, better book flight tickets for say 2-weeks and plan application as of 2-week visit. After arrival, change flight dates ...

Extn application on Sat-Sun before 6-Apr possible or not?

I need to attend client in EU before I apply for T1-extension.
Since, UKBA will not accept application from 6-April which is a Monday, can I send my postal application on Friday or Saturday i.e. Apr 03 or April 04?

Consider paying by "cheque" instead of card.
It will add a few more days as funds need to clear before case worker start working on case.

Your dependent has both the options open (1) FLR route (2) T1 dependent extension route. If you go FLR route, clock resets again to zero @FLR start date to count 5-years further. If you go T1-dep extn route, your clock remains unchanged i.e. from Oct-13 to count 5-years Its been discussed in forum m...

Same case. Just returned 7 days back. Applied VFS Mumbai. 1. Either parent can apply. Consent letter of spouse is enough. My wife applied and my sponsorship letter as T1-main. 2. I would suggest spend some time on the forum and you should find the answer for more latest update. Professional help won't be much good for extension. It is a yes/no based on rules. On other hand, sticky I mentioned is from S.Mehta and knowing this forum, I would say he (or other mod) would have up...
