Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

Many thanks for your help. I didn't take any declaration , not they asked for one. My partner and the kid stayed at home. I went to the appointment with the required documents, overall it was a smooth appointment, they took my child's original passport, original birth certificate and the rest were a...

Re: Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)

I am in the process of applying OCI card for my two months old baby. I am a British citizen (through naturalisation) and my wife is still Indian (ILR holder). I have submitted the application online and I got an appointment for 10/11/2022. I would be grateful if you can answer following questions: 1...

continuous period ILR

Hi Everyone,

Quick question.

I came to the UK on T1 G on the 20/3/2011 and would complete 5 years on 20/3/2016.

I am thinking of applying on the 22/2/16 by post, would that be OK.

Thanks

Re: ILR and Dependent ( really confused pls help )

If you read page Number 29 - [ILRcont_periods_v12.0_EXT.pdf] for Continuation of lawful leave during absences from the UK.

If the applicant’s leave expires whilst they are outside the UK and they apply for entry clearance within 28 days, the applicant’s continuous period is not broken.

Re: ILR and Dependent ( really confused pls help )

Our (Me, my partner and child) visa will expire on the same date 12-3-16.

One quick question , if you don't mind.

Is it true, if you are in ILR then dependent of settled person (not as T1 G Dep) applying outside the UK don't have to pay IHS fee.

Re: ILR and Dependent ( really confused pls help )

Since as you mentioned that I have to apply for their extension within the UK , as I am using postal service for ILR and would be using the same for my dependents in the UK. But I have noticed the address is different for the two applications. Since both the applications (ILR and T1 G Dep extension)...

Re: ILR and Dependent ( really confused pls help )

Thanks for your reply, much appreciate it. To answer your question, my child was born outside the UK.

I did know the T1 G Dep extensions are not allowed from outside the UK, thats not good.

I dont understand UKBA's logic of not allowing T1 G Dep to apply for extension outside the country.
