Yes, we're applying by post. This is what we're now including with the application: Letters addressed to us jointly • Council Tax statements (2) • Bank statements from Lloyds TSB ( 8 ) • Banks statements from HSBC (4) • Loan offer from Santander (1) Letters addressed to my wife • NHS medical card (1...

Thanks for your reply.

Do you think it's better to send more than what's required? We have loads of stuff - NHS registration, two years worth of bank statements, stacks more payslips, etc.

About to send Set(M) application - final check

Hi everyone, I'd appreciate it if I could get a quick check on the application/documents we're sending. My wife entered the UK on 11/2/11 on a two year spouse visa. We have lived together continuously since that time at the same address (i.e. have not moved house or anything.) We are both employed f...

We got it! Thank you everyone for all of your comments during a rather frustrating two weeks. The ECO has post-dated the effective date of the visa until January 3rd. So, that removes the mad rush too. He did ask her when she planned to travel during the interview, so it was nice of him to put that ...

Just need to vent my frustration a little bit. VFS Global in Kuala Lumpur is staffed by total incompitents! First they charged her 30RM to have her documents couriered back once the decision on her visa had been made. They even asked her to write her address on an envelope to be sure it was correct....

Ha, yes, I suppose so. We've been together for six and a half years and have spent maybe five months of that in total on the same continent, so the thought that she might soon have a piece of paper in her passport that says she can be with me for real is just overwhelming. Equally, the thought that ...

Thanks for your reply. She went for the interview yesterday and said it was quite informal and non-threatening. They asked her the questions she'd expected to be asked. The ECO didn't give her a decision, but he spent a lot of time explaining how the visa works and how quickly she'd have to come to ...

Wife called for interview in Malaysia - what to expect?

Hi everyone, this is my first post here. We found out today that my wife has to go for an interview in Kuala Lumpur on the 28th of October. Does anyone have any experience of spouse interviews in Malaysia? Or anywhere really. Just want to know what she should expect.
