Re: Can I apply 4 my children citizenship born and living ab

In this case this one child can be registered then as he was born after the father ILR/citizenship ? You need to decide which one. ILR and Citizenship are two very different categories and have different rules for children born abroad. Sorry for my vague last post CR001. I had to confirm and it is ...

Re: Can I apply 4 my children citizenship born and living ab

Why would your friend spend thousands £ if they do not even intend to live here? I am sorry to say this but I am happy that UKVA make this process harder and harder and only genuine people can get it who really want to live here, contribute and their stayus is legal. To read these kind of posts mak...

Re: Can I apply 4 my children citizenship born and living ab

BUT what this is one says here is true whatever the guys on omn...

Re: Can I apply 4 my children citizenship born and living ab

1(3) clearly does not apply. Registration for privilege of citizenship (for minors born abroad as per this case) is predicated on settlement first, ie ILR. And on showing the minor's future lies in UK. Living abroad does not help towards nor demonstrate this. If friend's family members wish to come...

True well said.. no he did not tell me all the reason I guess but I think it is a regret oh it will be easy for him to visit India more easily instead of going to own emabassy as Afghan and apply for a visa

Re: Changing Place of Birth on Naturalisation Certificate.

Why does he want to do this? It seems like his current position is stable. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be best to just leave well enough alone.... Thanks for the link I remember asking him the same question and said because he knew someone in London with nearly similar circumstances i.e married to...

Re: Changing Place of Birth on Naturalisation Certificate.

Thanks Outflak No there ar no other bomshells ;) Reading the Chaptor 55 in bit more of details and I get the impression that if the country of the applicant was not a factor to get ILR & BC i.e. in this case any Non-EAA then a person may not be deprive of BC or nulify. I think that what you meant as...

Re: Changing Place of Birth on Naturalisation Certificate.

Well that would be deception then wouldn't it and yes, he could lose his citizenship as it will be a concealment of a material fact. Did he apply for citizenship using an Afghan passport? If so, was it real or not? Don't know what you mean by 14 years as I have scanned the link you provided and can...

Re: Changing Place of Birth on Naturalisation Certificate.

If he was not born in India, unlikely that he will be able to change it as he would not have any documentary evidence/proof of his birth there. thanks CR001 sorry I did not explain it properly earlier. He is infact an Indian however claimed asylum as Afghan initially that failed and then got RP,PR ...
