as long as you can provide evidence that you have the funds to maintain and accomodate her without recourse to public funds then that will be fine. going part time is not a problem as long as you are not being a burden on the state.

he should have applied with his wife and he would have been issued with ILR also. he can apply for FLR (M) which will give him a further 2 years on a spouse visa. after completing this he then can apply for ILR. yes he will need to pass english test requirements.

5 years from when you 1st entered the UK. as long as you have evidence of 5 full years then thats when you can apply.

and yes you have to complete life in UK unless you fall within exemtions- such as age? did u not need it for your ILR?

the UKBA have to get in contact with you and depending on their backlog it can take a few weeks. if you only received the determination a few weeks ago then it can be another few weeks until UKBA will be in contact. but dont worry it will come.

yes it can take that long. nothing is wrong until they tell you it is. be patient and wait for an answer. also keep updated on whether the limit has been reached for the tier 1 applications which i think they have been reached for november.
