Re: ILR postal applications (excluding SET(LR))

Had applied on 4th Feb...still waiting...called up home office this morning and got the standard answer that your application is still within the prescribed timeline and not over 6 months so you have wait & contact if not received after the expiry of 6 months. Very frustrating but no choice!!!

Re: Education Penalty Notices - need clarification

Sorry to bother you guys on this...but would appreciate if you someone could answer to my query. I did try searching for a past case on this but couldn't find anything specific since all past cases are on driving penalties. Thank you.

I am ok with paying this fine since I need to take her visiting my home country for an important close family function. My worry is - would this...

Just to add..I recently had a successful tier 1 extension at Solihull and the caseworker had asked for an employer reference letter inspite of submitting formal payslips. So its good to have an employer reference letter for a smooth and fast processing. And the most they are interested in is earning...

I think, the caseworker here got confused with the 2 different set of bank statements and hence the rejection. As a policy, there is no need to show earnings going into your bank statement for tier 1 dependent visa. Its enough if you just show the pay-slips and employer reference letter to show that...

And as I understand, there is a lot of visa rush from visitors, PSW applicants, and tier 1 extensions. So I suspect this may take some more time than the average 2 weeks.

Expect for the best.

do I need to carry the TB screening report?

Friends,

I am due to travel to UK from India on Tier 1 visa.

Since India is not listed as one of the countries from where UKBA needs a TB screening report as per the UKBA website, Do I still need to carry the TB screening report? Is it mandatory?

Pls advise.
