switch to premium service

I would be grateful for some advice. Applied for my wife's ILR back in July, biometrics taken 9 august. We have not heard anything yet. My mother in law is quite poorly abroad and we have no idea we will hear about the decision. Is it possible to switch to a premium service at this stage for an extr...

How soon will Trinity provide unique electronic reference number

Hello,
I passed my trinity b1 today, but my visa expires next Friday. Trinity said certificates can take 7 days and may be too late then. Do you know I can get my unique electronic reference number? Do they send an email beforehand to say I passed with the reference number?

Re: Employer's letter

I am really confused about how many payslips and bank statements I should supply. I am applying under category A, being employed over 6 months (11 months to be precise). Category A asks for 6 months statements and payslips. The new ILR online application only asks if you earn same amount, and is it ...

Re: Employer's letter

It is indeed!
So there is no need for a breakdown of my monthly salary on the letter itself?

Employer's letter

Could someone please tell me if this employer's letter is sufficient. My gross salary varies each month due to overtime, but always exceeds the requirement. The rules I were given about the letter is that it should include: 1. the employment; 2. the gross annual salary; 3. how long the employment ha...

Financial requirement

Hello I am applying for my wife's ILR aftee 5 years. I have started my current job 11 months ago. The basic salary is £27k but there is always overtime, so the take home varies. I have so far earned more than the 18,600. My question is: what documents do I need to submit, as I only have 11 payslips....

spouse visa accommodation requirement

Wonder if someone could advise. I am sponsoring my wife for a visa. I rent a studio flat, which has a kicthen, bathroom and a bedroom (about 250 sq ft). The landlord provided me with a letter saying the flat is for my exclusive use and they are happy for my wife to join me. But reading through forum...

Really need some advice. I am a British Citizen and my wife is non-EU. We are from same country originally. Known each other for 10 years. I intend to provide: - 12 month bank statements (gross over 18,600 and average over last six months > £1550). - Employer's letter showing how much I earn, confir...

documents needed for spouse visa

I work as an employee in central London (variable hours). I rent my own place privately. I would like to sponsor my wife for a visa. Could someone please advise me what documents I should include with my application? Also, could someone direct me to a template for my employer's letter as they dont s...

financial requirement query

I have been working for this company for 3 years now on a variable (hourly rate). My salary changes every month, but in the last six months, I have made sure all were above £1550 gross. My total over the last 12 months will exceed £18600, but there were a couple of months when my monthly income was ...

You can apply for ILR based on 10 years legal stay up to 28 days from 4 October - so you are able to send your application on or around 6 September.

Payment details incomplete - dead worried!!!

I hope someone could advise. We have sent an application for long residence for my friend on 3 May (visa expiring 4 May). To our disappointment, we discovered we did not include the expiry date of the debit card. We have received an acknowledgment letter on 17 May, but the fee has not been deducted ...

His leave expires this May and he is unable to extend his stay further as a student.

Mant thanks Vinny - I had a read through this case - both appeals were dismissed - is it worth the effort of applying anyway?

2 short gaps in ILR long residence

I have a quick query on behalf of a friend applying for 10 year ILR. He has just received his SAR file which showed two gaps: - One by applying for student visa 15 days late in 2003 (forgot to send it in time) - The other one happened when his tier 4 application was returned due to payment declined ...

I am no expert too, but you cannot 'make up' for a gap by staying a little longer - a gap resets the entire ILR clock, which means you need accummulate another continuous 10 years from when gap finished.

My question was really about whether the 15-day gap could be disregarded or not.

Unfortunately, it is hard for me to extend my stay beyond Apr 2012 when my student visa expires, and I really do not have extenuating circumstances for the gap, I just completely forgot to apply in time. Apply anyway?
