Re: Successful PEO/PSC ILR applications

Myself, my spouse and two minor children were granted our Indefinite Leave to Remain on 29/01/2016 at the Sheffield PSC. One of my children was born in the UK. Entered the building at half an hour before my appointment and was out of there 3.5 hours later. Initial Visa: Tier 1 (General) Last Visa be...

Hi, The "Employment" questions came up when I did the electronic applications for my wife and child when, on the previous screen or a couple of screens before, I stated that she was unemployed. My interpretation of these questions is that they pertain to employment in the UK, not in South Africa. I ...

It's probably still consistent with a first-come-first-served basis for South Africa--we really don't have that many Tier 1 Applications (look at our statistics) coming through the British High Commission in Pretoria.

Hi I applied in December at VFS Pretoria and my status is the same as yours. Did you get an email from UK Embassy about the delay in process of Tier 1 visas? Hi, Yes, I received the email about the November limit shortly after applying. I just spoke to VFS and they confirm that the status is "...re...

Application still in "...received for processing"

Hi, I applied online for a Tier 1 (General) Visa on 23 November and did the biometric appointment at the VFS center in Cape Town, South Africa on 26 November. My application's status is still "The visa application received for processing at the British High Commission" on the VFS web site. Is this n...

Re: Christmas Leave in UKBA

So does it mean they are going to start issuing visas after 4 th of January? Mr Jackson's auto-response would lead me to believe that visa issuing will be resumed immediately. This would be wonderful news, except that the following announcement is pretty clear that they will only be resuming in Jan...
