I was illegal between 2003 and 2011. Was granted RC in 2011 March and PR August 2016 So my understanding is wait until at least 2021 before attempting to naturalise. And suggest be careful about coming to the attention of the authorities as good character requirements (and 'test') are wide-ranging....
