I think probably my HR did not mention i am a permanent staff when she applied the COS, so HO thought my job will finish in august 2012 ....

Sorry to hear that, but your situation is actually better than mine. it has been about 9 weeks til now, and i have not got any news from HO since posted my extension application on 12th Nov ... God knows what's going on there?!! Pretty shit!
