Citizenship after divorce - Surinder Singh

Hi All, I am currently in a dilemma. I have received my PR as a family of a BC (surinder Singh route) after an FTT appeal and a long wait. I am currently in a process of getting divorced and waiting for the decree NISI. Can I apply for citizenship now or do I have to wait for a year after PR? What d...

Wrong BRP

Hi all, Does anyone know what can I do if I have received a wrong BRP after winning the FTT. It’s just getting so frustrating for me, as after a years wait HO sends me a 5 years RC instead of a PR for my application. I have looked on the internet but there is no number to call at all. Also now the q...

Re: Surinder sing Eind PR - Appeals

Just an update to my previous posts for the people in similar situation and all the experts on the forum. So I finally got a date set to meet HO at FTT and currently preparing for my appeal. What grounds/ case laws , references can I use for this appeal which is purely based on SS and Eind. Any help...

Re: Surinder sing Eind PR - Appeals

The HO view is that Eind is still a relevent factor however BC must still exercise a treaty right in order for the Directive to apply by anology. I can confirm that the Home Office does not hold any recorded information about any decision to reverse any previous approach relating to the Eind judgme...

Surinder sing Eind PR - Appeals

Has any one here won or have links for appeals won against the HO on the basis of SS and EIND combined, after the immigration rule 9 has been introduced in 2016. There have been a couple of people here who had appealed against HO on EIND grounds , do they have any updates so far? What are the ground...

Re: Surinder -Singh route ?

“Exercising her treaty rights” Can you define that ? Was she working, a student, unemployed, self sufficient, etc. What has she been doing in the UK since she returned from the EU member state? Does this mean people have officially accepted that EIND is not applicable to SS route anymore? Has there...

Appeal not allowed - whats next

I have been recently refused SS PR for the reason BC is not qualified person due to the Missing documents to prove this. I have been separated from the spouse so she hasnt been self sufficient for this period. I feel HO has completely ignored EIND decision and did not give me a right to appeal. Is t...

Re: Surinder Singh PR refusal appeal results

has there been any update on this? I have just been refused the PR and asked to send evidence of my British spouse being a qualified person in the UK however the PR form does not ask for any of these documents. I have no right to appeal which is further putting us in a unknown territory.

Can you re-enter the UK on COA?

Can someone please tell me what does the COA for EEA2 consist? Is it enough for a visa national to board a flight from outside the EU or they will need to apply for another EEA FP?

There should be no immigration checks within the Schengen area (except for special events). But having ID is compulsory in some member states (I do not know about Spain and Sweden). Also, airlines most likely will insist on some form of ID which a UK RC is probably not. Does the airline ask for a P...
