You will NOT receive any confirmation from HCI London after your OCI is approved. In fact there will not be any letter even for confirmation of receipt of your OCI application. Thanks nax_72! I was really confused because last year my friend applied together along with his wife but he said he had mentioned only 3 years for his wife.

Also, there was some discretion regarding the absence which I was not sure and hence the confusion.
