Re: I'm a professional dominatrix. Can I naturalise?

Nowhere in the citizenship application form do they ask you about your employment. So you dont have to lie, you simply dont have to mention anything. They dont want to know if you are employed or unemployed. Good character requirement - this is with respect to criminal activities, taxes, police reco...

I spoke to my council for a NCS appointment and they insisted that you must get a UK NARIC certificate as my degree was from India. I explained to them that this degree is in points calculator and UKBA previously accepted this for Tier 1 and ILR. They still said there is no such in the guidance sen...

Regardless of whether you get a British passport, the moment you are issued a naturalisation certificate, you become a British Citizen. If you are from a country that does not allow dual nationality (such as India) then you are potentially travelling illegally with an Indian passport even though you...

Unless your travel out of the country is on Crown service or for compelling medical reasons, you will be putting your BC application at risk.

charumlk83, I don't think this will affect your application negatively. I would suggest you enclose a personal letter with your payslips explaining your situation. A letter from his current employer stating that he works in that company in XX role would also help, although this is not mandatory. The...

Tatvam27 I know someone whose baby was born in the UK. They got their Indian passport here, did not get a UK visa and went to India. They simply had to apply for Entry clearance for the baby before travelling back to UK. It is safe to take the baby to India without a Visa. Your baby is an Indian cit...

I am unable to locate any official information on the guidelines. The below is based on someone's experience, so do not rely solely on this post. A friend of mine was a BC and his baby was born in India. He applied for the child's passport directly in India. - It took about 14 weeks - Cost about £80...

There are no residential requirements for Minor Children when registering as a BC under Section 1(3).

Please read the Questions 2-3 under the Children section here - http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=95747

The current visa status of the child is irrelevant for Section 1(3)

The advantage of applying through NCS is that you get to retain all original documents including the Child's passport. NCS will verify and send the copies.

Since the MN1 application may take up to three months, you don't have to wait for it to come in case you have to travel during that time

So you wont lose anything. In case you go in to reschedule and did not get / choose any new appointmen...
