Re: I am applying for dual citizenship to sri lanka

Hi , Don't know why you would need a DBS check ? I am applying for the same , and just obtained the police clearance certificate. The Dual nationality instructions on the SL immigration website only refers to a Police Clearance Certificate. I have a query you may be able to help with- the applicatio...

Re: In-Laws Visitor Visa Refused!!, Case worker mistakes

Hi there, Just wondering if you had any joy , going through your MP ? I am in a similar situation - my parents' visitor visas were refused twice; on the first occasion by the mistake of counter staff at VFS Global ( who handle the front office duties for UKVI) and more recently by a very petty minde...

Re: Struggling with referees... Have a few questions

I understand, thank you. I went to a dentist the other day, and she has known me for over 3 years but the clinic is not NHS. What do you think?
I don' believe there is a requirement for the dentist to be NHS. You should be fine :D

Re: documentary proof with AN application

Hi again, I did attend my NCS appointment today and as you say they did not ask for anything related to the employment , they reiterated that it is mainly the passport that will be used to prove the presence in the country (and LITE and English language needs to be proved via my documents) the rest ...

Re: documentary proof with AN application

Dear Tea_Rocket, Many Thanks for your helpful response. I have not received a list from the NCS, even though I had received the appointment letter. I have been on the phone to them a few times, and what they have said is pretty much what I mentioned ( and the Passports of course). What is giving me ...

Re: List of doc for Tier 2 general

Hello, If you are applying under Tier 2 ( General) 5 year route then, you do not need to submit any P 60's or HMRC letters- at least I did not and got mine approved . Re: Tier 2 General to ILR and UK absences

Just my thoughts: It is correct to say that 180 days absences includes both business and personal travel. However you may find it worth having a look at this case http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Admin/2015/1478.html ( which is posted in the sticky topics), especially para 79. I do not know how q...

Re: NARIC English Language verification

i am assuming, the degrees were obtained in another country? Sounds silly but it had me for a moment thinking that everything has to be validated by NARIC till i found it clarified in the FAQ section here. An the Statement of Intention tabled to parliament does mention it is only for foreign degrees.

Same- " Pollution control Officer " . Just to clarify- within pollution control there are 3 or 4 different areas that you cover/specialise in. In the Job summary in the CoS with the then new ( now current ) employer they put the major aspects of contaminated land, but it included other things from t...
