It took approximately 10 weeks and 8 weeks respectively from date of sending the application to date of return of passport and stamping the passport.

I just hope some who applied in Avril have got their application approved and will receive their passport soon.

I was very surprised to receive my passport back from the HO yesterday with the ILR stamp inside. If I am right, lots of people applied before me and apparently have not yet got a reply from UKBA. This is very frustrating. I wish them all the best and hope they get a positive reply soon. From my per...

I have applied in April. Application received by UKBA 19 April. Still no reply. There many members of this forum who applied 01/4 05/04, 06/04, and 11 & 12/04 who apparently are still waiting. UKBA may have decided to go back to the waiting times of up to six months that can still be found on their ...

Dear all It appears that since end of March the UKBA may be slowing down their processing times. It seems those posted from end of March are still awaiting. Could members update their situation whether they have received a reply or are still awaiting? This would allow other people to have a "clearer...

I know what you mean; it would be nice to get some sort of acknowledgement. I don't think making a complaint will result in you not getting a refund. I'm going to wait another week and then submit a complaint. The letter they sent me to say my application was invalid was dated the 20th April so it ...

About the Biometric Card, I wouln't worry about it, they have all their data on their system and they can verify it themselves. About the LITUK test, I know it cost £30 or so to take it but i think it will take another couple of weeks to get the original back. Therefore, I would just re-take the t...

Why not wait until you hear from UKBA regarding whereabouts of your passport(s) ... and first ascertain the fate of your passport(s)? Sending a new application without any information whether UKBA has your passports or have lost them, and without original LITUK test results, IMHO, you are just invi...

I have contacted the UKBA on the 22/02/2011 to ask for my passport to be returned. The next day I called again and talked to a different person who advised me to write to Liverpool where I sent my passport to ask for it to be returned. I did write to them on the 23/02/2011. You may be in serious trouble. One of the responsibilities of colleges is to inform the UKBA when a student is expelled or is not attending classes. So, it is highly likely that the UKBA may already be aware of your expulsion and may be, if not already in the process of canceling your visa. Dependin...

You should ensure that you do not overstay your visa. Since applying for extension will require a CAS letter, I think you should discuss with your school to find out whether they are ready to issue you with a CAS for a period of time while you will be waiting for your result. The reason of the exten...

I don't think a sample letter is necessary. You should have received an appeal form to fill in and send back presumably within 10 working days depending on the type of visa you applied for. Documents (originals or appropriately certified copies) such as your birth certificate and that of your sponso...

What is the content of the letter you received from the UKBA. Did they give the opportunity to re-apply? say within 28 days? Since your application was deemed invalid, it seems that you are technically an over-stayer from the date you visa expired. If you are given the opportunity to make a fresh ap...
