Re: New immigration fees proposed

Tier 1 general fee to icrease from £1,000 to £1,500? Is that a new ploy to discourage people from extending tier 1 visas?

Your will recieve biometric residence card rather than visa stamp on your passport so it doens't matter if your passport will expire before the possibly expiry of the visa.

As long as your passport is valid, you will be fine.

PSW holders have no options other than switching to tier 2 or leave the country.

The whole objective behind this is to break up the link between temporary and permanent immigration.

If you submit statements recieved in post, even if these are duplicate, you will be fine. Include a cover letter if you wish.

And if for some bizarre reason, UKBA do refuse your application due to bank statements, their refusal will not hold up in court.

Tier 1 PSW is completely separate from Tier 1 General. Former doesn't count towards ILR and the later does. Tier 1 psw is one time visa which can not be extended and psw holder is expected to switch to another category if they wish to require further leave to remain and must meet the immigration rul...

If your estimate that the new rules will apply to ONLY those who fall within the 20, 700 limit stands correct, then ALL incountry applications like extensions in the UK, PSW moving to Tier 2 and a few others will be safe and exempt, which will be GREAT news for most people. I'd say that if this was...

Re: Query

I am confused after reading all through the replies and documents. I have these specific queries regarding myself and my friend. 1.If someone changes from tier 1 general to tier 2 general, in country, does that mean new visa tier 2, will be considered as temporary visa? (for those of you wondering,...

Have they given you right to appeal? If not, then unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Two different sources of earnings must be provided to claim earnings. Both P60 and letter form employer fall under same source. This must be corrobroated normally by bank statements. As you were paid in cash...

The consulation clreary stated that above changes don't apply to tier 1 general migrants. It only affact those who entered pbs after April 2011 like tier 1 exception talent migrants, tie...

As application was returned as invalid due to incorrect photographs, it didn't even get looked at by the casewoker. Hence no way to determine if applicant even met the criteria that time.

As OP has now made fresh application, he will be denied further leave for failing to meet the funds requirement.

Unfortunately your application will be denied. HO doesn't excerise discretion when applicant doesn't have enough points.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can now. Guidance is clear.

I'd blame your consultant who didn't check whether payslips were fit for purpose.

Does p45 cover all the earnings you claimed? If that was the case, why did you send your payslips as two different sources of earnings are sufficient.

Obviously all changes will affect those already on psw, no matter when they were granted that leave. The government clearly wants to cap the length of stay a tier 2 migrant can stay here and obviously breaking the link between temporary and permanent immigration by not allowing them to apply for ILR...

1) You need to register as self employed if you havn't already done so. HMRC then send quartly NI bills. Also you recieve UTR number when you register with HMRC. Without these documents, HO will reject your earnings 2) Look at the guidance. It states minium earnings made within UK to qualify four ex...

It seems you are falling short of points to qualify for extension, hence hell bent on claiming more points.

Guidance cleary states an applicant will get same points for age when extending, that were given during initial application.

Ok, in that case you are out of luck.

How do you think your wife can apply as tier 1 dependant when you are not tier 1 general holder yourself.

And as per new rules, you cant submit new evidance. It doesnt even matter as you don't have the right to appeal anyway.

So convert your earnings to GBP and then look at the guidance notes.

You can claim points for overseas earnings. However you might be refused entry by immigration officer as you have clearly failed to make UK your home and seek employment within UK.
