You may need to mention your visa dates for seniors to comment on. Is it HSMP or Tier-1 that you are intending to mention ? The new rule requires a letter from your current employer and is not mandatory for Tier-1 holders. It is not needed from your former employers and if you have a P-60 and salary...

Thanks aspirant09,

What I forgot to mention is that even though I wasn't being paid in the U.K, I still had a house on rent and paying my utilities etc. With this information what do you think this should be classified as ? It can't be leaves as I was still working for the company.

What classifies as a business trip ?

Hi, If during my 5 year stay in U.K, I had once gone back to India for around 50 days and was not paid in the U.K, how should I mention that in the absences. I was working at the company office back in India so can't classify it as a leave (paid or unpaid). Although, I had gone for official reasons ...

I don't think such a letter would help , as the rules clearly say that the employer has to mention that it needs you for the job. Please see this link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/working/tier2/ict/settlement/ You also need to have the SOC mentioned in the letter . I have hear...

Thanks for the reply SushdMehta . However, could you please elaborate on "If your settlement application is approved then she'll have to incur extra cost to apply for FLR(M) " . I assume you mean to say if she does not apply for settlement with me, she would first have to apply for an ILR dependent ...

Maximum time duration to apply dependent's ILR

Hi, I intend to apply for ILR soon at a PEO . My wife is completely eligible for her dependent ILR as she has been with me in the U.K for the last 4 years. However, due to some minor apprehensions on my (main applicant's) application, I do not want to take the risk of another £675 as charges toward...

Hi Aam, I haven't applied for ILR yet. My MEWP was valid for 2 years although I have spent only about 4 months on the MEWP. As Sushdmehta has mentioned time spent on MEWP does not count towards ILR and this is clearly mentioned in the caseworker guidance here http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco...

If you have got multiple entry written in the box it is a MEWP. I have held two WPs in the past the first one of which was a MEWP and has multiple entry written in the box. The other one is like the sample file i.e nothing in the box.

Out of Country WP Renewal

Hello Forum, A quick question please - I entered U.K on WP1 (2 years validity), stayed for 5 months and then went back to India to get it changed to another WP i.e WP2. I stayed in India for about 45 days before coming back to U.K on WP2. My WP1 was valid while this changeover was happening and duri...
