Hi people, I am wondering what happens when the UKBA looses important documents like passports and marriage certificates etc: An application for PR was made in January 2013 and the applicant did not get any decision, when she called the office she was told that the UKBA will call her. She indeed got...

Can I ask why he did not apply for naturalisation after 5 years of continuous residence in Ireland? Good question, It was an oversight on his part and hope it would be a lesson for others. He was fixated on getting Permanent residence under EU application. Do you have any advise on the questions as...

It has been my experience that UKBA doesn't reject the applications without original passports, but asks for your passport when they need it. Was this experience with Liverpool (EEA application) or Sheffield (BR application)? As far as I know, Liverpool would refuse to accept an application without...

Many thanks for the prompt replies.

Unfortunately, he sent the application today already. @ EUsmilie, he sent the EU national's original passport with the application. I guess if he might have to re-apply if the application is rejected

Submitting an EEA2 application without Passport

Hello Folks, I have a query on what happens if the Non-EU applicant for an EEA2 Residence Permit does not include his Passport in an application sent to the UKBA. The applicant needs his passport for an interview with the Jobcentre for a NI number application, he intends to send the passport 2 weeks...

Last time I renewed my Italian passport, they did get my index finger prints. My understanding is that this is a requirement for every passport applicant (over 12 y.o.) who is applying after the 28th June 2010. I understand Germany introduced this requirement the 1st November 2007, France the 16th ...

As long as there are no requirements for British nationals to have biometric identification, it will illegal to impose it on EU nationals and their family members. There may also be a cost element involved, as (for the same reason) they cannot charge anything for EEA applications. That's odd becaus...

1. No. 2. No. 3. Yes. Also the CoA (Certificate of Application) would state her right to work. This nowadays is issued 1-2 weeks after applying. 4. 2-3 weeks in most cases for the return of passports. Other documents are returned when a decision is made (up to 6 months). Many thanks for your reply ...

Very funny and interesting case Indeed!

I will advise that you immediately involve external bodies i.e. Solvit, possibly write a petition to the appropriate EU body or/and involve a lawyer to make representations on your behalf. I have noticed that all the correspondence has been with the staff the UK Border Agency- any further personal c...

Basically you just need to submit the same as you submitted for the EEA FP. You can do it the same day as you arrive in the UK (if you want). No need for you to be working for the RC. As usual, very informative and reliable post from you. Sorry to hijack the thread but when you say they can submit ...

The bolded above is factually incorrect, the deadline for a decision to be made is exactly 6 months from application under article 10 of the Directive. If INIS will not tolerate people overstaying their visas or staying illegally in the country, they should also make sure they respect the Directive...

If she is still working in that six month application period after you submit your application, you will get another 5 year permit....

any advice on what to expect when coming back in to the UK? Rain and miserable weather. You can use the EU line for passport control. No need to fill in a landing card and your passport should not get stamped. Very nice reply :D I am just a bit curious, can a non EU family member with a valid EU fa...
