Re: Spouse visa; Tricky situation ILR 5years or 10 yrs long residence

It may. It depends on the precise sequence of events, which is why we would need a fuller history to advise you on that point. If her five years complete on 27th March, she can apply on 29th February 2024 (28 days before). Others here may be able to advise more fully on how to bridge the gap betwee...

Re: Spouse visa; Tricky situation ILR 5years or 10 yrs long residence

Thanks for your response. It was the “right of appeal” in both refusals. We never went for any judicial review. I am not sure what the rules are now on legal stay when the statutory appeal is pending, but in those days, any time spent on statutory appeal was considered legal stay even if the leave t...

Spouse visa; Tricky situation ILR 5years or 10 yrs long residence

My wife came to the UK in June 2012 as my dependant. In August 2013, her extension was refused with the right of appeal. On 20 April 2015, her appeal rights were exhausted. On 15 May 2015, we applied for the same spouse visa under human rights, which was refused again with the right of appeal. We we...

Re: ILR for My wife instead of spouse visa extension

My wife came to the UK in June 2012 as my dependant. In August 2013, her extension got refused with rights of appeal. Finally, she got a visa under five years route in November 2018. From 2013 to 2018, HO messed her case and eventually apologised in court regarding their errors. This is her second e...

ILR for My wife instead of spouse visa extension

Hi, I have heard that my wife can apply for ILR instead of extending as a spouse visa? My wife is here in the UK for nine years. We have two British daughters aged 6 and 2.5 yrs old. I am British as well. Is there any way we can apply for ILR instead of extending the visa?

Thanks, TODMATT. In terms of the list for the relationship documents, what documents, they need from the last two years? Hi, I am applying for my wife visa; I am not sure which test she needs to pass. Although she is here for nine years, this is her first extension on 5 yr route. Previously, she got...

Naturalisation previous immigration application

Hi, I am applying for my naturalisation online and the question of previous immigration applications is not clear. How long I need to go back? Do HO not have my immigration history? Brother Appeal allowed after 5 yrs

Hi My brother ILR LR appeal has been allowed after five years of legal battle. In Jan 2013, he applied T1 Ent. visa application and this was refused in Aug 2013 with right of appeal. HO alleged a F A K E bank statement was used. All his appeal rights exhausted in Dec 2014. He applied ILR LR and this...

Re: Court hearing Deception-Help needed from Moderators/senior members

Thanks for your response much appreciated. Do you think that a judgement from a foreign country has more weight and has successfully overturned home office evidence of verification report. The facts of of fake and genuineness has been discussed in much detail in judgement. In certain criminal cases,...

Court hearing Deception-Help needed from Moderators/senior members

Hi my younger brother had a hearing today at Taylor house. Just a background. He applied Tier 1 ent. in 2013 which was refused on deception (due to an alleged fake bank statement) with right of appeal. All of his appeal rights were exhausted in Dec 2014. Just for a note: In these 2 yrs he was in tou...

NHS and GP registration for my mother

My mother is visiting me in the UK for nearly 5 months. I read on gov.uk that she can register with the GP free of charge, A&E is free and the chargeable cost will be the hospital outpatient cost. Should I register my mother with the GP and would this have any impact on her future applications regards

Re: Car Purchase from Business Account

Being a chartered accountant, I wouldn't recommend to purchase car from business account for many obvious reasons. There are two things you need to consider here; 1. From the corporation tax point of view. 2. From HO point of view [business test]. I am not a solicitor but a tax adviser, the rules of...

Being an ACCA student you are obliged to comply with ACCA's rules set in the ACCA rule book. Any work which falls within in the definition of ACCA is prohibited. In short, any work [tax or financial statements] in which third parties rely on your work is prohibited. You can provide services like boo...

Re: SET UP ACCOUNTING OR FINANCIAL BUSINESS. TIER , FIRST AP

If you are studying accounting qualification, the bye-laws of the professional institute will forbid you to open an accountancy practice i.e. if you are studying ACCA and AAT [for instance] allow you to practice as an accountant then you will be in breach of the ACCA rules and may face disciplinary ...

Re: SET UP ACCOUNTING OR FINANCIAL BUSINESS. TIER , FIRST AP

These two lines made me laugh [no offence].

"I am currently studying accounting qualification on Tier 4".

"I set up accounting firm which will provide accounting, business and audit ( will be partnership with authorised audit firm to do so) services".

Both of their visas are expiring end of this month. My understanding is that he has to apply for ILR and wife FLR. Does he need ...
