If there is any complexity in your case then I would say it's worth coming down to Solihull, but if it's straight forward then you can get it done anywhere.

Applied for Basic Disclosure (CRB check) which I didn't receive till the time of appoitment for ILR at Solhull PEO. SAR report was ...

Thanks for the valuable suggestions Sushdmehta and other members. I went ahead for ILR application after I got the SAR report from police which didn't have any convictions, which means my speeding ticket was considered as FPN and the application was successful, got ILR. Many thanks to moderator and ...

Successful ILR at Solihull PEO

I was on Work Permit for 1.5 Years and then shifted to HSMP, then got an extension (Tier1). Completed 5 Years and applied for ILR today in person at Solihull PEO. The only complexity in my case was that I got a speeding fine (SP30, 3 points and £60 fine) thru Court, in 2007, which I was not sure th...

Haven't see this requirement in the list of documents they have asked for. you might want to do it for your own satisfaction though to make sure any of your speeding tickets (if any) are not coming up as convictions.
