Re: LIUK TEST: LOST & SAR failed

Reading official book is a strong advise. I bought one 3 days before exam it was so boring even to read a paragraph I decided to give it a shot without reading it. But I did couple of online sample tests (Google it you will find plenty for free) that helped to pass in 1st attempt.

Re: REFUSAL ??, HELP , ILR under JR POLICY

Hi, I have read your post, time back I was in similar situation with traffic offenses one involved driving without insurance and next one 6months automatic ban for reach 12 points. With my Tier 1 visas I didn't declare but in ILR I declared very specific to the question asked for straight answer no ...

Re: ILR and traffic query

No I didnt do any criminal checks PNC or CRB, and didn't even seek any advise from Solicitor. I simply gave a punt and it paid off. Luckily I was not even aware that recently rules changed just a week before I applied as a result I was granted ILR.

Re: Life in the UK test Name error (first and last name swap

I don't know. They told me my names don't match and also gave me a bit of lecture to be careful while filling out details online.
But as I said, they told not an issue.

Re: Do you have to be in work for full five years?

Home Office don't care as long as you score enough points on earning at the time of your application and you have been in the country to their guidelines rules set.

Re: Life in the UK test Name error (first and last name swap

Let me tell you my experience, I had same problem names swaped, Test centre informed HO electronically, I had no issues getting my ILR. You can find this I have posted my ILR experience if you search by my screen name. By the way how did you manage to get letter from Test centre? They simply will no...

Re: ILR ELIGIBILITY--- PLS HELP

ILR eligibility states "10 years legally in the UK on varying visa statuses ", if you had valid visa would have escaped saying Holidays, not having Visa during that time don't think would count. For your 2nd question: not sure would leave experts to answer info you can find it on http://www.ukba.hom...

Re: ILR and traffic query

From current rules, it wont affect you. I was disqualified 6 months reaching 12 points one of offense was no insurance. I provided all the details while doing IRL it was granted. :) They were not spent, it will take another year for me for these offenses to be declared as spent.

Re: Unpaid leave-Urgent help needed

I don't think it will affect in any way at all. During my 5 years working career I had one downtime where I was unemployed for 2.5months did bit of travelling for about 2 months outside UK. It didn't affect me at all either on Tier 1 extension or my ILR but I did score enough points for earnings. I ...

Re: ILR application 5 year with partner 27th jan

It really depends on from what route you applying for ILR. If Tier 1 general, make sure you have payslips and bank statements to cover your earning points. From most recent to backwards. Just saying have 6 months bank statements and 6 months payslips may or may not cover your points you claiming for...

Re: 1 Year and 3 Months Returning Back to UK-ILR holder

After receiving ILR I went to US on company business I stayed there for 3 months and 2 weeks on return back, boarder control asked me only two questions: 1. How did you get your ILR (I told worked for 5 yrs applied ILR and I got it) 2. How long you have been away? (3 months and 2 weeks) Stamped and ...

Re: ILR 18th June Success Story Croydon

Wow, mate congratulations on your ILR :) You seem to be very organised and well prepared. So you have deserved it. Coming to my story it's quite opposite. I didn't give a sh** about ILR as I had one unspent driving conviction and divorced during that time (so lost interest) details were provided, on...

Re: Reapply after ILR is refused

Can I ask what type of self employment you did? For me when I applied for Tier 1 extension 3 years back, case worker calculated my gross income from both fulltime salary job and my part-time self employment rather taking expenses and other stuff ended up having more points than I claimed for. I did ...

Re: ILR refusal based on 5 year qualifying period

Very sorry to hear your refusal and they took more than 9 months to process your application. I would suggest you read carefully all the rules set by Home office at the time of your application and make a note of everything so that you can argue during your appeal. Plus try to consult good immigrati...

I think there is nothing to worry about here. 1st of all your conviction has happened long way back that mean ur points are off from DVLA and also you have completed your rehab of conviction. Has rules been changed since last 2 years? I don't think I showed so much money when I was bringing my wife. I didn't even show my bank balance or payslips just job offer letter as I was unemployed at that time and my balance was overdraft and living in UK. But my wife kept little over £600 as proof...
