Hi Speed120 / Sara 2012, I understand the pain you are going through. However I totally disapprove of the following, 1. You quoted you know of someone who got ILR after beating wife 2. How did he get his ILR ? First of all, the person whom you are referring to either is known to you else you would n...

Hi Chweetgurl, I sent it directly to his parliament address in Westminster with a recorded delivery. I am sure you can manage to write a lot of additional things in your letter regarding your pain. Another route would be to write to Parliamentary Ombudsman. I do have a copy of the letter I wrote to ...

Facts difficult to digest ............

Hi, I had sent in my 1st letter to my MP after 3 months of application. She got a letter from UKBA that no case worker was alloted. I responded to that letter. MP wrote that she can only make enquiries about progress of application. She did quote that she has written to UKBA about me in a positive l...

The best thing would be to forget what happened in the past and just move on with your life. I can understand that it is easier said than done. However, its own personal choice and the one behaves the way he wants to deal with. Yes there is a pain and only the person who has been through the agony w...

Hi All I was waiting patiently for six months. Finally I got my ILR. My case was not straightforward but I had a hope of getting ILR (Exceeding all the absence criteria). I got impatient after 3.5 months of painful wait. I wrote to MP who was just supporting UKBA stating I need to wait patiently. He...

I guess the requirement for being economically active is not a part of the ILR applications falling outside JR. Only the SET(O) JR applicants need to show the economic activity. Wait for someone in the forum to correctly guide you.

How did you make the payment for your previous visa applications ?
If you have done postal applications previously then what was the mode of payment for those big transactions.

If that payment mode has worked in past then this should work now also. I am just guessing.

Hi,

You also quote in your SAR that you do not have any evidence of your absences from UK for the period in question because of your lost passport.
They will provide you with the Landing card copy when you first entered UK along with the entry dates to UK for the period in question.

Hi, It depends on what information you have asked for and what information they have on records. Hi Acpula, The delays caused in your case were due to errors committed by British Deputy High Commission. In your case they will have to grant ILR on discretion as it was not your fault at all. They will definitely have a record of all the issues. You should write all the details in your covering le...

I have written confirmation from UKBA which might be of help to many who are in the situation where current leave expires pending ILR decision. If your visa expires and still the decision on ILR is pending then you can vary the grounds of your previous ILR application to Tier 1 extension. If this ha...

Why don't you send in a pre-paid self addressed envelope now (If not sent with your application previously) and ask them to post their decision in that envelope.

If they don't have the pre-paid envelope they will send decision by 2nd class post which takes quiet a bit of time.

Again, Why do you intend to withdraw ? Even if a refusal is granted after expiry of your current leave you will get a full right of appeal. You have two choices after appeal right is awarded : 1) Apply for extension since your previous leave is still continuing (or) 2) Go for an appeal Regards Ash
