I didnt use NCS, filled in form myself and posted it off - it is really easy. Just think of the costs saved if you do it yourself. Then came for the request for clearance. If you do need PSNI clearance, the HO will send you a letter to your address you are at now - there is your proof of address, as...

when I sent my application from NI, HO sent a letter a month later asking for PSNI clearance, and I would suggest waiting for them (costs £10) - others here have been approved without PSNI clearance request As for proof of identity, I sent a copy (they say copies are acceptable ) of my drivers licen...

Can someone tell me when I do send off the forms for first passport, can I request a specific date for the interview? You see us here in Northern Ireland, have only Coleraine and Belfast, and I am about 40 miles from each, so getting a day off work to go for and interview is difficult? When i get a ...

I had a problem where I could not prove I entered the country, as I landed in Dublin, and drove up to NI. I provided them with my entry stanp in Ireland, and submitted any and all paperwork I had to prove my time here, even a Creditexpert check - as this proved my entry onto the electoral register, ...

Re: PSNI Clerance

All Apologies if it is a duplicate post. I applied for Naturalization on 04 Jan without PSNI certificate. I lived in Belfast during initial 12 months of my stay in the UK. I guess I *may* be asked for PSNI clearance by case worker when rest of the checks on my application are complete. Will sending...

It doesnt, but the PSNI computers are not linked to the CRB computers, hence the extra check (btw costs you an extra tenner)

I put my local council on the form (I am in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone). I think ceremonies are only done at Hillsborough The forms are standard for all applicants, with us here are "special" Hence, the reason their is also not anything about PSNI clearance on the form The ceremony is arranged by t...

Oh it wasnt the Irish that was the problem...the SA embassy is staffed by local irish, could not be more helpful. I too have been waiting 10 weeks - trying and its hard to be patient. It might just be that the particular caseworker allocated to individual cases took early holiday in Dec or something like that, as could be the case with Rastro My PSNI clearance was sent 12th Dec to UKBA. I believe it has been po...

@ dr_raihan29

Hey hang in there.

I too am in NI. I applied 18th Oct, request for PSNI came end on Nov.

I suppose it all comes down to your caseworker, and the pace of his checks etc...

Also, my understanding all checks done then PSNI clearance last thing (I stand to be corrected)
