ILR granted!

Applied on 9 th may- Acknowledgement-13th may ILR received - 23rd july 2011. stamped on 12 july. So the ordeal is over. u can not find a simple example like this any where in the world, charging you 970 pounds? its too much, nearly 1500 dollars, even USA don't charge you that much for green card. and service providing in return is as low as.....!!! and more painful keeping your passport and you don't have the right ...

As already mentioned the grounds for refusal have been confused with another case or instance. However for ILR, it is important for the' dependant' NOT to lead an independent life. This is true people are giving two years cohabitation proof even if they fall under judicial review category. I contacted the home office, they said in case of JR , the two years cohabitation proof doesn't employ. So i dont know why people are still being asked to do so. I think for any future JR IL...

This is because there is no embarkation control at UK airports. UK govt scrapped it years ago as it was causing millions of pounds of taxpayer's money.
