Re: Child British Passport Renewal outside UK

You could travel to the UK personally and bring his expired passport along here. Get it renewed and take back to Pakistan. The child doesn't have to be physically present. Trust me, this will be the best route.

Re: Travel after Nationality Ceremony

You cannot travel on your nationality certificate. You can exit the UK but immigration authorities will NOT allow you to board the return flight. I am sure the council must have told you at the ceremony that it can take upto 20 working days following the ceremony to get your UK passport (provided th...

Re: BRP Returned - Lost in Post

Keep the royal mail receipt safe just incase HO asks you later.

Don't worry about this, you have done the right thing by sending it by signed for/tracking.

I would simply igmore this and move on. If HO do send you a notice, just tell them you posted it.

Re: March 2018 applicants who are still waiting

The timeline post is a bit confusing as it doesn't indicate how many people are still waiting I applied online on 11 March, done biometrics on 15 March, NRDS appointment was on 19 March, passport fees deducted on 9 April. Share your timeline if you're waiting. We don't need to start another timelin...

Re: New passport application forgot to check for secure deliver option

What a bummer! During online passport application I unchecked secured deliver option which means that my Citizenship certificate and foreign passport will be returned via 2nd class. What a pity. I don't see any option as I can't cancel this application and restart a new one. Does anyone have any ot...

I fled domestic violence in October 2015 and lived in a women's refuge for 10 months but still feeling the affects of the DV. Re: Long term visitor visa for parents

You are asking for trouble these days if applying for a long term visa for parents.

Its better to get a 6 month visa, stay for few weeks and not months and then apply again to have a chance for coming back to the UK again and again.

Re: Visit visa for parents from Pakistan

The HO these days is pretty smart when it comes to showing 'the sponsor's finances'. It will be better to show how strong the financial status of the applicant visiting is rather than the sponsor's as the HO is more keen to know about the person coming from abroad with regards to his bank balance, s...

I have applied for Jumbo passport through NDRS/JCAP and mentioned the £85.50 fee on the payment form which is at the back of the booklet which comes with the passport form. The said fee was deducted.

Thanks plabo and Hstepper07. I meant to say decision date (rather than just approval date). Observing the timeline, am I correct to assume the decision date is usually after the passport fee deduction date for NDRS + JCAP application via council? I assume it would be unusual other way around? I app...

Don't think so as you already have informed HMRC and they have settled it with you to be paid in installments. Unless HMRC considers this to be a 'delibrate tax evasion attempt'', that is something different then.
